Investigated the structure of a Rotman lens as a candidate to perform discrete Fourier transform in RF domain.
- Modeled a 32 point processor at 60 GHz frequency using a 6 cm diameter Rotman lens with a 9.8 relative permittivity in MATLAB.
- Doubled the number of input points to 64 while maintaining area by incorporating the vertical dimension in a stacked multilayer structure.
- Tripled processor bandwidth from 320 MHz to 1 GHz by designing the lens for an offset frequency while maintaining the error at 4%.
- Investigated major sources of error. Optimized the design parameters. Proposed a method to convert data transfer from serial to parallel.
